First Annual Conference - February 23, 2012 @ Desert Willow Conference Center

Koi Education is proud to be a sponsor of this amazing BET-C.org conference that will impact learning in Arizona. Improving student academic and behavior outcomes is about ensuring all students have access to the most effective and accurately implemented instructional and behavioral practices and interventions possible. This is the goal of this year’s BET-C. Please join the conversation as state and district leaders work as a united force along with educators and parents to make positive and lasting change to increase student achievement for all learners.

Keynote & Sessions

This year’s Keynote Speaker will be Beverly Johns, an active leader in educational reform for the past 40 years. Ms. Johns has worked tirelessly at a state and national level to improve education for students with learning disabilities (LD), and behavioral disorders (EBD) within the public schools. Ms. Johns will share her insight and proven methods to "Amplify Achievement: Alternatives to Suspension".Welcoming remarks will be made by John Huppenthal, Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction. Senator Rich Crandall will provide a legislative update from the Senate Education Committee. And dozens of school district teachers, administrators, and superintendents will provide panel presentations and breakout sessions. All three state universities, ASU, NAU, and UA will be represented at sessions and have partner tables displaying their contributions to Arizona's education initiatives.
